JTM18G
The ANYTONEamps 18W JTM18G has a special place in our selection of amplifiers. This design, and its many variants, served to whip the restlessness of the tube DIY hobbyists of the 1970s, in particular, the British 18W series which is an amplifier design that had a resurgence and great popularity.
The 18W standard has two channels, each with a tone control. One channel has a dedicated tremolo circuit, while the other tends to have more gain available. This circuit is capable of delivering fantastic clean tones and crunch, and the bias-controlled EL84 section adds a characteristic harmonic tone.
As with all our amplifiers, we have worked carefully to select the best components to suit the design, and the 18W uses specially designed transformers for identical fidelity to the original assembly with the same frequency response and tonal feel.
